Udon Thani Province Prepare’s to accept Thai workers returning from South Korea.

Four quarantine points have been selected to provide housing for the workers before they are sent home,

Udon Thani’s Public Relations Officer Mr Rithidet Khotsarn said that with regard to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in South Korea they want to provide safe passage for both legal and illegal Thai workers returning to Thailand…The government has prepared measures to support the said risk workers who must be quarantined for 14 days at the specified locations.

The 2nd region commander has instructed the army of the 10 provinces in the northeast region to prepare various quarantine areas such as guesthouses. military buildings and unused buildings….Thai workers returning from South Korea are to be monitored for the symptoms for 14 days before they are allowed to return home.. this is to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

However, Udon Thani’s Governor  Mr Nirat Pongsitthaworn also chairman of the Communicable Disease Committee in Udon Thani coordinated with the 24th army and related agencies to designate 3 quarantine points for migrant workers returning from South Korea, consisting of Prachaksilapakhom Camp, Seni Ronnayut Camp and the Udon Thani Territorial Defense Volunteer Company, including 1 point at the Provincial Health Office, namely the guesthouse at Huai Luang Dam with attendance from supporting medical-nurses from Prachaksinlapakhom Hospital and related organizations and organizations. At present they have jointly participated in operational planning and procedures.
