Ministry of Foreign Affairs Advises Buddhist To Stay Home on Visakha Puja Day
Visakha Puja Day is one of the most important days in Buddhism and for Buddhists which falls on the full moon day of the sixth lunar month which is on the 6th of May this year. It is the day Buddhists assemble to commemorate the life of the Buddha Giving reverence to His purity, profound wisdom, and immense compassion for all humankind.
Mr. Natapanu Nopakun, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised
Buddhists throughout Thailand to stay home while meditating, chanting, and listening to online sermons to mark Visakha Puja Day this year in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
