Father Kills His Own Drunken Son to Protect His Wife

Saturday, May 9th, Police officers from Kanchanadit Police Station in Surat Thani Province were dispatched to a nearby house for a possible shooting after a neighbor heard gunshots. The Police found Mr. Wan Rak, aged 32, with a 9mm gunshot wound to the body and head, lying face down in a pool of red in front of a driveway, meat cleaver knife still in hand.

The Suspect named Mr. Udom Sa, aged 51 also father of the deceased surrendered himself to the police.

After questioning family members, they found out that the dead son had a habit of drinking too much alcohol which leads to drunken rages and destroying property.

During his son’s drunken rampage, his father had returned from doing errands first trying to persuade him from using the knife on his wife. When that didn’t work, he grabbed his 9mm Glock and shot his son 3 times, twice in the body, and a final shot to the head immediately bringing him to the ground.  Mr. Udom said, he was only trying to protect his wife. Police detained Mr. Udom for further legal proceedings.
