High drama as police chase down a drug suspect in Buri Ram

Innocent bystanders in Buri Ram’s Nong Rong district ran for cover when a hail of bullets flew past them as police officers tried to stop a drug dealer’s black pick-up truck from escaping on Monday (May 11).

After chasing the vehicle for more than 10 kilometers, they finally managed to bring the truck to a stop by shooting all its tires.

The driver and the police continued to shoot at each other before the suspect was injured and apprehended while they also seized a large number of drugs being transported by the suspect.
