4 Poachers Confess to Murder of Chief Forest Protector Officer

Police have arrested 4 suspects for the shooting and death of a Chief forest protection officer in Sap Langka Wildlife Sanctuary, a central province of Lop Buri. The arrested men are residents in tambon Kut Ta Phet of Lam Sonthi district and are also poachers.

A park ranger was shot dead while patrolling in Sap Lanka Wildlife Sanctuary in Lop Buri province.

Karn Chaiprasert, 37, was found dead on Monday with a gunshot wound and a shotgun in his hand.

Wasant Klomchinda, head of the sanctuary, said Karn led a three-member team on a patrol at 1 pm on Sunday in a forest on the Khao Ruak mountainside.

All men have confessed to killing Khuan Chaiprasert, the Chief Forest Protection Officer while opening fire on the Chief. They were escaping arrest for illegally poaching.
