Shoppers Required To Download Tracking App at Malls–VIDEO/ENG

MAY 18th–Before shoppers across Thailand can shop at malls again, they are required to load the Thai Chana mobile app to their mobile phones for check-in and check-out at all shops.

The app has been created to collect visitor records in shops and also provide details such as opening hours and visitor limits among others.

Shops are also required to register with Thai Chana. It took shoppers a long time and load the app to their phone resulting in long lines.

Long lines caused people to crowd together defeating the whole purpose of keeping everyone safe and not spreading the virus. Other buildings and retailers are also encouraged to perform the QR code scanning with their customers or visitors to create as much extensive contact tracing as possible.

Hopefully, people will have the app uploaded to their phones prior to visiting their favorite retailers.
