Udon Thani – Wat Kham Chanot Will Reopen Its doors by Mid June – VIDEO – (วัดคำชะโนด)

Mr. Thawatchai Srithong, the deputy governor of Udon Thani attended a meeting for the opening of the popular attraction “Wat Kham Chanot – (Thaiวัดคำชะโนด) “, a Buddhist temple near Ban Kham Chanot, Amphoe Ban Dung, Udon Thani Province in Northeastern Thailand.

It is located in the Wang Nakhin area at a lake where the Nāga, a mythical large snake, is supposed to be living. Nāga worship is one of the main issues in this small monastery. Also a small zoo with turtles has been added to the monastery. Opposite of the main temple building, a permanent (rural) market for visitors is provided.

The attraction has been closed since March 23rd, almost 2 months because of the pandemic. but is expected to reopen by mid-June. There will be a limited number of people allowed to enter the palace to prevent the spread of the COVID-19
