UPDATE: Udon Thani – Short circuit probable cause of temple fire

UDON THANI: Police continued to inspect the scene of the fire that killed Phra Ajarn Sudjai Thanthamano, 75, abbot of Wat Pa Ban Tad in Udon Thani.

 

Pol Lt Gen Damrongsak said the death of the abbot in the fire drew a lot of public attention. People then questioned the police in regard to them handling the case. After interrogating 22 witnesses, they decided to do more investigation. Investigators now believe a short circuit was a probable cause of the fire at Wat Pa Ban Tad forest temple.
