Facebook users, “Juju Panatsaya” recently posted a video clip of two passenger vans driving in the right lane. The two vans did not allow an emergency ambulance to get by while trying to bring patients from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province To Nangrong District, Buriram province. The ambulance turned their siren on, but they still ignored them. Furthermore, the van delayed the ambulance for almost an hour.
Mr. Thanasit Chuaklangthanawat, aged 65 years, was the patient in the back of the ambulance. He Died at Nang Rong Hospital soon after arriving at the hospital. The hospital says he would have survived if he had only gotten there sooner.
His family has come to terms with his death but they still want both drivers of the vans to face prosecution to the fullest extent. The family wants to use those two drivers as an example to others in hopes people will be more courteous on the road.
