1 June 2020, Officers from Muang Buri Ram Police Station were recently called to the scene of murder scene along with Thammasathan Buriram Rescue Unit.
The killing took place at Ban Khok Khun Saman, Isan Sub-district, Mueang District, Buriram Province where they found the body of 56-year-old Banphot Kliak lying on his back in a pool of red on a bed beside the house. He was shirtless wearing a pair of shorts. He had sharp teeth marks from a hoe on the left side of his neck which looks like the final blow.

Police questioned Mr. Sorn Dasi, 62, the owner of the house after the incident, who said that the person who killed Mr. Banphot was Mr. Sangwit Pukaram, 60, who lives in the same village as the victim. The suspect used a gardening tool (hoe) to kill his victim during a drunken rage and then fled the scene on his motorcycle. The two men have been known to fight a lot in the past due to both drinking heavily.
Ms. Yukhonthonklikon, 35, the daughter of the deceased, was in tears saying that she knew her father and the suspect were neighborly friends In the past, She said she had seen them drinking together, but never knew they fought. “Regardless of how dissatisfied they were with each other, you shouldn’t kill someone”..She added,” I would like to ask the suspect”Why did you kill my father?’.
Later, the suspect turned himself into the police and told the police he killed his friend because he cursed at him too much and the resentments just piled up until he snapped.
