A U.S. Cyber ​​Tip helps arrest child pornographer in Uthai Thani

Royal Thai Authorities recently received a Cyber ​​Tip from the United States of America claiming that someone in Thailand had used their cell phone to send pornographic images through their twitter account. 12 child pornography images were captured and held for evidence including pornographic animation.

After tracking him down through a long cybertrail, The royal Thai police issued a search warrant on June 6. The arresting officers then brought the search warrant from Uthai Thani Provincial Court No. 64/2563, dated 6 June 2020, to search the house at 69 Moo 7, Muang Karung Subdistrict, Ban Rai District, Uthai Thani Province. When they arrived, a man opened the door by the name of  Mr. Noon, a 36yr-old who introduced himself as the owner of the house.

Therefore, the police handed him the search warrant and started to search the house. Police first discovered the same brand phone HUAWEI which was identified to be the phone used to send pornographic images.

After Mr. Noon admitted he was the owner and the sole user of the phones, they placed him under arrest. Mr. Noon agreed to let investigators check his phone and found even more evidence of pornography. They also found evidence of sexual abuse in the 12-yr-olds bed and room.

After investigation, Mr. Moo confessed that the allegations of molestation and porn were true. He said he started having sex with the 12-year-old since December of 2019 to the present, he would come to visit her mother 2-3 times a month, he couldn’t remember the exact day but that’s when he began teaching the 12-yr-old girl about sex. Mr. Noon recorded still images and movies of him having sex with the 12-year-old girl before uploading the images many times through social media.

Mr. Noon is charged with  “having child pornography in the possession for sexual exploitation for themselves illegally” as well as molestation charges. An investigative officer from Muang Ka Rung Police Station, Uthai Thani Province is continuing to take legal action and will prosecute to the fullest.
