Bangkok has developed a COVID-19 virus detection laboratory for 2 additional hospitals under the Medical Bureau to continue testing for the coronavirus assisted by the Department of Medical Sciences.
On June 9th Pol.Lt.Gen. Sophon Phisutthiwong, Deputy Governor of Bangkok announced some of the results for the COVID-19 disease surveillance program. He said they were still testing in “risky populations” to detect COVID-19. A team of scientists collected and examined samples from several areas starting back on May 18 to the present. So far, It’s been reported that 4,766 out of 7,255 people were not infected according to lab results and they’re still waiting for the results of 2,489 people. Approximately 47% of the samples have already been inspected and the remaining 53% (15,210 samples) should be completed later this month.
In addition, hospitals will continue to use the “Thaichana” platform to monitor and control the epidemic Which is installed in every hospital.
