By Khunanya Wanchanwet Mr. Kosit set out to return some of the durians to Trat province yesterday A Phuket fruit trader has started the long journey from Phuket to Trat province, on the Cambodian border more than 1,100km away, to return a shipment of 636kg of unripe Monthong durian that cost more than B61,340.

Mr. Kosit ordered the durian fruit on the 31st of May from Mr. Keng who delivered it on June 8th which was a week late. Mr. Kosit claimed the durian was too old and wanted t to exchange it for younger durian which has a sweeter taste, there was nothing he could do with the old durian.

The seller agreed he would exchange but never answered if he would pay for the B10k shipping cost. He had also gone to the police, but they laughed at him and told him to find a durian farmer closer than the Cambodian border. There is no guarantee the fruit would stay fresh on that long of a journey.
