Drunk Man Climbs 50 meter Radio Pole-VIDEO
Rescue workers from Phrom Phiram district, Phitsanulok province said the 50-year-old had climbed up the 50-meter radio pole of Nong Tam train station last night and couldn’t come back down because…. well he was drunk. Phitsanulok municipalities and other private cranes made many attempts to rescue the man.
Mr. Lawai Sid Pradit, the father of the drunk climber knows his son has a regular job during the daytime. He said his son often likes to drink liquor and beer regularly. Also, when drinking, he’s often crazy.
Rescuers of Nerve Bunsan Foundation tried to use a crane basket to rescue the 70 kg man but was not long enough to reach 50 meters.
Finally, after 12 hours, they sent 3 rescuers up the antenna and were able to bring him down safely after several exhausting attempts.
The rescue team used a rope which they tied around the man’s body and slowly climbed down a little at a time until they safely got to the bottom.
After paparazzi took their pictures, he boarded the ambulance and headed to Phromphiram hospital to be treated.
