At 15.30 hrs. On 12 June Prem or Wisawakakhom, a 14-year-old went swimming in the Phadung Krung Kasem canal. A place where it’s normal to see children jumping off a bridge as soon as a train passes by. On this day, he had waited for his friends but they never showed up so nobody saw him jumping off the bridge.

After he jumped and started swimming back to the surface a boat passing by didn’t see the boy and its propeller cut Prem’s wrist making it hard for him to swim. Prem never made it to the surface and drowned. The mother had reported him missing and told police he was last seen at the Phadung Khlong Kasem Canal Near Bo Bae Market.(Bangkok)

Therefore, the search and rescue team from the Ruamthuanyu foundation put on their scuba gear and searched for the 14-yr-old boy. 4 scuba diving officers search for about 30 minutes before finding Prem’s body. There were wounds from the boat propeller, teeth cut into his right wrist, torn all the way to the bone.

Nong Prem always came to play with friends who have houses in this area regularly. But whether his friends came or not, he always swam.

Prem was currently studying in Mattayom  Ratchawinit School and was a good athlete. He had just made the team Thepsirin School after tryouts.
