Ever since the government announced that the curfew had ended on June 15 many foreigners and Thai citizens have been coming out of the shadows throughout Pattaya. Although it is always easy to track them by following the fresh trail of rubbish they leave behind.

While some visitors sleep in and enjoy their hangovers, others watch the sunrise while following a trail of beer bottles and cigarette buds left along the streets throughout Pattaya. Furious citizens are saying the rubbish that tourists buy from convenience stores, whether bottles, cans of various alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, drinking bottles, containers, foam cups, masks, and even cigarette butts is everywhere including their beaches and they want it to stop.

Despite signs and designated areas, these partygoers seem to ignore the rules since their freedoms have been given back. Citizens know that some visitors are happy and excited to finally get out of their rooms or villas, but they are asking you whether a citizen or visitor……..

To please respect your playground, and remember this place is someone’s permanent home.
