Soldiers of the 4th Infantry Regiment, Mae Sot District, together with the Border Patrol Police Company 346, Mae Sot District, have seized a large number of weapons from a house in the Mae Sot district of Thailand’s western province of Tak, bordering Myanmar.
The list of seized weapons included a mix of 33 different M16’s, AK47 assault rifles, M79 grenade launchers, and PK general-purpose machineguns, as well as a large amount of ammunition of different calibers,
Officials have arrested 2 Thai men who live in this house and are being taken to the Border Patrol Police headquarters to be questioned by authorities.
Investigators said they have been watching this group for a while and were just waiting for the right time to capture them with enough evidence close to the Thai-Myanmar border.
the weapons were believed to be part of a political movement or a group that had planned to create political chaos during an event.

Pol Gen Chakthip ordered police to keep a close watch in 10 provinces, including KhonKaen, Phrae, Nakhon Ratchasima, Ayutthaya, and Chiang Mai.
