July Songkran plans pushed back to later in the year
COVID-19 is already winning the world’s largest water fight as government officials in Thailand announced on Monday they will celebrate on a future date. Thailand usually celebrates Songkran from Apr 13 to 15 to honor the Buddhist new year and even though Thailand has been able to keep the coronavirus under moderate control, they’re still keeping things on the safe side. Since the outbreak broke out in January, a total of 2,579 coronavirus cases and 40 fatalities were confirmed. Unfortunately, Thai citizens, expats, and visitors will have to postpone their way of cooling off this year and lay down all their water trajectories for the time being.
