First Mate falls overboard Chao Phraya River boat tour

On 3 July 63, Time 20.00 hrs. Pol.Lt.Gen. Theerawat Kerdchongrak, Investigation Bureau, Pak Khlong San Was notified of a missing person at the end of Soi Chareonnakorn 39 so he rushed to the scene with Ruam Piety Foundation volunteer rescue team.

At the end of Soi Charoen Nakhon 39, Bangkok was a tourist boat named Baan Baanithitha Cruise 2, where police met with the newly apponted first mate and his captain. Meanwhile, volunteers started to search for the missing person.

 Khun Ploi the captain’s first mate who saw the incident, said: “The man who fell into the water was an employee of this tour boat. We saw him smoking as he flicked his butt into the water and the next thing I knew, he fell into the water. We yelled, MAN OVERBOARD! and then tossed a rope with a floating device….. but then he quickly disappeared. “

Mr. Viroj Phadungphoch, 55, Captain of the boat said: “I was inside the boat, heard people shouting, ‘then next thing I see are passengers falling in the water. Elder Roj, the young man falling into the water.’ was last seen swimming at the bow of the boat before disappearing from my sight, I couldn’t see him. I took off my pants and jumped in the water to find him, but he was long gone.

After searching for three hours, the rescuers  found the missing man who had drowned.
