Chonburi – A man reportedly high on methamphetamine has been accused of stabbing his wife in the neck, who was sleeping with her child, before stabbing himself in Mueang Chonburi this morning.

Chonburi Police was notified of the incident at 1:30 AM this morning at a house in the Baan Suan sub-district.

Muang Chon Buri police officers were notified that there was a crazy man attacking people in  Ban Suan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chonburi Province. Therefore the police went to the 2-story rental house where they found Ms. Sirilak Chanchoy, 20, who was crying in pain from a sharp knife wound to her throat. Mr. Wichai Buppabalo, 32 years old, the husband, had a career as an aluminum mirror maker who was taking methamphetamine for 5-6 days continuously and refusing to work. This caused Wichai to get paranoid and end up stabbing his wife in the throat and himself.

In the end, he quickly ran out of the house while carrying the child in his arms yelling for help from his neighbors. The police and rescue staff finally calmed him down after an hour.  The suspect was treated as well as the wife and then later arrested by authorities.
