Urgent call for blood donations amid depleting stocks

 

The Thai Red Cross Society is in desperate need of blood donors and do not have enough  for normal operations.

Almost 350 hospitals across the country have reopened resulting in a higher demand for blood. on any normal day, around 7,000 units is used but they would be happy with half that ammount.

The have been seeking blood from healthy donators for the last three months now.

The campaign will officially begin on July 13 and continue till July 19 and the donors will receive an “Every Blood Donor is a Hero” t-shirt.

Large numbers of people on Sunday (July 12). have already travelled to the National Blood Centre in Pathumwan district to donate blood.
