Many netizens said this behavior was very unlike dogs, while some pointed out that the dogs could be heard screaming before jumping, which means something terrified them.
A reporter later went to the grandfather’s shop which sells utensils. The shop owner said he was doing housework when he suddenly heard a loud thump from outside. He then ran outside and recognized one of the stray dogs limping away while the other seemed still. He said they were the same dogs he sees running around the abandoned cinema adjacent to the back of the house. The dogs must have snuck through the house, gone up the stairs, and somehow opened the door he said. They must have been depressed, he said. He didn’t know why the two dogs jumped off his rooftop.
