At 00.10 hrs. On 18 July, Pol. Col. Panisit Ritthirong, a Chief Inspector from Prachuap police station was notified of a gun battle at a well-known pub on Sukchit Road, Mueang Prachuap District.
A witness said he heard many gunshots coming from inside right before the pub was going to close. He said his friends were still eating and drinking inside.
The shootings resulted in 2 injuries one man was shot by .22 caliber and the other a 45. One of the victims, Mr. Krisda U-ngern, 25, was taken to Prachuap Hospital to take a bullet out of his leg and was later arrested after discovering he had warrants for an old case.
The second man, 30-35 years old, was hit in the head. The Sawang Prachuap Foundation rescue team treated him at the scene and was later brought to Prachuap Hospital too. After examining the incident, 11 mm (.45) gun shells were collected off the street.
Also, 2 pairs of sandals, 1 gold chain, 1 Yeti glass, were found at the scene and are being held evidence along with the suspect’s cars.
When he looked to see what was going on, he realized that someone was injured and his friend’s car was damaged. The police are still investigating the scene trying to find out why the shootout even took place.
