30 beauty contestants at “Miss Tainthai Ngam” show off their swimsuits–VIDEO
Miss Tainthai Ngam swimsuit contest–
30 beautiful women finalists competed for at the “Somchai Nuksininat Engtrakul” which is a beauty contest hosted at the Ace Park Hotel, Soi Khlong Luang 17, Rangsit on July 29. The Miss Thain Thai Ngam contest has been organized for 70 years, It is considered among one of the only national contest platforms that maintain Thai identity.
While the contest’s main focus was centered on natural suitability, the women showed off their swimsuits in hopes of winning the crown, “Miss Thaitham Ngam 2020” with 3 different styles of swimwear to be showcased, international, sporty, and retro-style.
Only 30 contestants were selected out of 100 applicants to compete in front of a board of expert judges, who one by one collected points to qualify onto the next round.
This year’s contest was slightly different due to the Pandemic, Instead of the usual packed audience and women crowded together on stage, everyone kept their distance and it was live-streamed on ZOOM.
One of the beautiful woman entering the contest, Mintpatthida Kongkrapan, number 23, who loves beauty pageants, wholeheartedly intends to grab the crown of this stage, said that it’s not all about looking pretty or sexy, we have to have talent in other areas too as well as follow the news. We strive to improve ourselves daily in every aspect of our lives.
Another contestant “Pam Suchanuch Thamwong” No. 25 said she missed last year’s contest due to not feeling she was mentally developed enough to win so she came back to prove to herself that she can do it. She added she is always trying to better herself by learning new languages and strives to have an outgoing personality and welcomes all new experiences.
The last contestant was “Peachpitchanwanarat” number 20.
Her major is in Journalism and Communications at the Thammasat University. She also is 178 cm in height, she goes by Peach and she has been a model on and off the stage for quite some time. She also likes to create new experiences for herself.
The three finalists will compete in the next competition held on August 1st at the ESC Park Hotel in Rangsit. YOu can follow the girls on their FB page:
