A shooting took place on August 4th inside a commercial building known for gambling in Bangkok resulting in 4 killings.
Police were first informed of a fire breaking out on the ground floor of the casino 3 but instead four bodies were found lying in pools of blood inside a room on the ground floor.
One of them was the max chief inspector of Samae Dam Police Station ”Watthaset” with a gunshot wound to the head.
Inside the 4-story commercial building, there are 10 booths on the ground floor with a large hall in the middle with CCTV cameras everywhere.
Floors from the 2nd floor up are residential rooms with entrance to the building on both sides of the building. Police barricaded a front door on the first floor where leading to 4 dead bodies inside.
Only authorized police are permitted to enter the room which had a secret door leading to a casino.
It still remains unknown what happened although it is believed cheating and gambling may have been the motive. There are still many questions yet to be answered to this case due to the fact an officer was involved. It’s only a matter of time before this story unfolds with all the CCTV’s on the property. Witnesses say that around 4 am, several gunshots were heard by local villagers, police officials did not come to the scene right away. According to witnesses, a Chinese man allegedly lost a lot of money the day before and returned the next day demanded his money back after accusing the casino of cheating. The unknown China man pulled a gun out while Chief Inspector Max Watthaset tried to calm the man down. That’s when the shootings took place before the Chinese man fled the casino. The rented commercial building was set up for gambling equipped with card tables, and casino cabinets.
Two others who were injured during the gunfire have been hospitalized at Chulalongkorn Hospital will be questioned while investigators are reviewing CCTV recordings.
