A Krabi Hospital received Mr. Boonrak Kanahakul, age 35 years, a palm cutter worker who was currently staying with his stepfather and mother in a nearby subdistrict in Krabi with one gunshot wound to the right abdomen. He ended up bleeding to death while sitting In front of the emergency next to Mr. Thaweesak Chaisawet, age 46, who buys scrap rubber for a living. He is also the stepfather of the deceased married to Boonrak’s mother Mrs. Renu Sukkul, age 50 who was also sitting in the emergency room with a sorrowful cry.

The story was told by both the culprit and the wife when they were questioned by police. The incident happened at their house in Thap Prik Sub-district, which owned by Mrs. Renu.

Everyone had been drinking all day until around 10:30 pm when they went to bed.

Not long after, a loud noise was heard coming from the front of the house, it was Mr. Boonrak, the deceased still very drunk breaking and destroying his mother’s property including two motorcycles and a car.

The son then kicked the front door down and entered the house continuing on a  rampage destroying the house and even attacking his parents. He picked up a Thai styled shotgun while waving it around and threatening to shoot himself, but the stepfather grabbed the shotgun away from his step-son and shot him after he continued to attack. The stepfather didn’t want to kill his stepson, only stop him from hurting anyone else including himself. After that, they rushed him to the hospital.

As for the firearm, it was a Thai-style .22-caliber rifle that was dropped into a canal behind the house. The police then detained Mr. Thaweesak for murder and will continue with legal proceedings.
