Man shoots best friend in hunting accident, says he thought he was a wild cat.–VIDEO
Police in Lamphun Province arrested Mr. Wirachai Roongwongtawan, 29, a resident of Li District, on July 2nd for shooting his friend Mr. Pisanu Thanthu Phetphan, age 29, from Li District, Lamphun province.
Four friends set out on a hunting expedition out near a corn plantation in Huai Pa Pao, Lamphun Province.
Mr. Wirachai, one of the 4 friends who went hunting thought he saw a wild cat in his line of fire so he fired a shot through a bamboo grove. But almost immediately, everyone heard a different cry from what was expected, he shot his friend and not a wild cat.
Their friend Pisanu was losing blood quickly as his 3 friends quickly lifted him off the ground and brought him to the back seat of their car and drove him to the nearest hospital.
But it was too late. He died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Meanwhile, police are continuing to investigate; A forensic team has collected gun powder from all three suspects/ friends to find out who exactly shot their friend.
There is confusion about who actually shot the friend because their stories didn’t match up as well as being changed a few times while police questioned them.
During interrogation, Mr. Wirachai finally broke down and confessed that it was him who thought he saw a wild cat and took the shot, but earlier he told police he had seen a rat.
The brother and the deceased family are puzzled as to why their son’s friends didn’t just confess in the first place. The family doesn’t think it was done intentionally because they are all so close , but the question remains, why are they lying?
Later that evening at the deceased funeral, villagers came to help and show their respect to Mr. Komson Thanaphetphan, (older brother) and relatives of the deceased. The funeral was held at the same corn plantation next to the same bamboo grove where the young brother died.
After police confiscated the gun and questioning Weerachai and the other friends. The men were charged with the use of narcotics after their urine tests turned purple.

The incident happened on August 2nd passengers were enjoying a cruise along the Chao Phraya River while also eating dinner. The wooden cruiser normally heads down to King Prajadhipok Bridge and cycle back. But the crew quickly noticed that something was terribly wrong since the entire ship was leaning to the right.

Phuket Vegetarian Festival takes a COVID-19 hit
PHUKET: Fire-walking, bladed-ladder climbing, hot oil bathing and crossing “bridges of nails” have all been banned at this year’s Phuket Vegetarian Festival following a directive from the Phuket Communicable Disease Committee. However, the committee has made no such rulings on the face piercings that have made the festival famous
“This year, there will be no supernatural ablutions of faith and flesh – including fire-walking, bladed-ladder climbing, hot oil bathing and nail-bridge crossing,” Vachira Phuket Hospital Director Dr Chalermpong Sukontapol, who sits on the Phuket Communicable Disease Committee, told Chinese shrine administrators at a meeting earlier this week.
